Steel frames
PinPoint Engineer provides site setting out services where steel frames are used. We can set up steel packing plates or set up a datum, whichever is preferable. We position all grid lines onto the concrete foundations and upon completion of the steelwork, we undertake a line, level and plumb survey to ensure the frame is set within the installation tolerances. After this check is complete and all verified as ok, we advise our clients to grout in all the base plates within 24hrs of handover to minimise the potential of any disturbance to the steelwork frame. On larger steel frame buildings this process is repeated in phases to work alongside the erection sequence and construction programme.
